Lock and Dam 13

Lock & Dam 13 Recreation Area features a boat ramp, an observation deck overlooking the lock chamber, scenic views and a picnic shelter. The boat ramp enables access to the Mississippi River and backwaters of pool 13.

Lock & Dam 13 is located four miles north of Fulton, Illinois off of State Highway 84 at 4999 Lock Road, Fulton, IL  61252.

Wierenga’s Heritage Canyon

Visit daily from 9am-5pm.  There are great hiking trails throughout the Canyon, incredible quarry views, wildlife and more.  A walk through the Heritage Canyon is the perfect hike for friends, families or the nature enthusiast!

Heritage Canyon is a recreated 1800s village set in a reclaimed 12-acre quarry along the Mississippi River. The settlement contains a schoolhouse, church, blacksmith, and more. During special events the Early American Crafters and other historical groups demonstrate pioneer crafts and help the village come to life.

Windmill Cultural Center

Weekly educational, fun and historical programs offered on Wednesday mornings

December through March.
