Weekly Brief – October 10, 2025

Downtown Update

• Work has begun on the 3rd block.
• All light post bases are now completed.
• Concrete bases for vendor stations and street lighting have been poured.
• Crews are waiting on the curb drain delivery, expected today, to complete work in the 1100 block of 4th Street.

Public Works

• Two employees attended the IML training in Hampton, IL.
• Sidewalk replacement at the corner of 12th Avenue and 6th Street has been completed.
• All items from Fall Fest have been taken down and put away.
• Crews are working to finish asphalt patching around town within the next couple of weeks.
• Hydrant flushing is scheduled to begin the week of October 20.
