Weekly Brief – 9/5
McCarthy is making great progress on the sidewalk project. As of Friday morning, sidewalks in front of businesses in the 1000 block of 4th Street are fully reopened. Crews are currently working on corner ADA ramps and expect to wrap those up by mid-next week. After that, they’ll focus on the areas in front of Peterson Plumbing and the former Babe Boutique building.
Porter Brothers has officially completed their work, and all barricades have been removed from the site. Everything came together very nicely, and the finished product looks great!
You may have noticed an increase in custom underground trucks around town lately. Frontier is currently upgrading all of their fiber optic lines, which will improve connectivity throughout the area. Additionally, Stratus Internet has expanded its footprint downtown, making their services more easily accessible for business owners.
We’ve received a strong response to our marketing tourism applications. The application window will remain open until the end of next week, after which we’ll begin reaching out to schedule interviews.
Public works crews will begin replacing sidewalk in front of Unity Christian pre school early next week as well as finish up some sidewalk work around other parts of town.
We hope to break ground on the new fitness court in about 2 weeks assuming the weather cooperates with us.
Have a good weekend!
