Author Cynthia Clampitt\, an Illinois\nHumanities Road Scholar speaker\, will demonstrate this concept through the history of common\nagricultural crops and foods. She weaves the stories of early America toward the development of the\nMid West we know today. Trace how corn evolved from a weedy grass to the cash crop of the modern\nworld.\nVolunteer Millers of de Immigrant Windmill will host this presentation at 6:00pm Tuesday\, July 22 at the\nWindmill Cultural Center located at 111- 10 th Avenue Fulton. The facility is fully accessible to persons\nwith disabilities. Light refreshments will be served following the program. This event is free and open to\nthe public.
